Sunnyday, the right time to sunbathe!
Caratteristiche
All solar panels are designed and optimised for specific purposes.

Conventional flat solar panels, equipped with thermal insulation and glass cover, are designed to work all year long in temperate climates. However, during the half year of colder weather, in most of the European areas, only a third of their annual output is produced, due to the smaller amount of available solar energy.

The uncovered solar panels, with no glass cover nor thermal insulation, are optimised to yield the maximum output in warm climates or at working temperatures close to the ambient temperature. In these situations, while reaching high performances, the uncovered solar panels allow sensible cost reductions.

In summertime, in temperate climates, or all year long, in warmer climates, the uncovered panels can even yield an output superior than with the covered ones, due to the absence of glass cover, that reflects back part of the solar radiation, and to the negligible heat losses.

Sunnyday is an uncovered solar panel.

The efficiency figure of Sunnyday solar panels is certified by ENEA, the Italian Board for New Technologies, Energy and Environment.

With Sunnyday there will be an optimum energy output as long as the outside air temperature is near or higher than the water temperature. Moreover the absence of glass covering and thermal insulation allows for very attractive costs and high reliability.

Sunnyday solar panels are then an optimal choice when the required water temperature is close to the air temperature; thus in summertime to heat shower water at temperatures of 35÷40°C, or both in summer and winter to keep swimming pool water at 25÷28°C. The more tropical areas are approached, the more the fields of utilisation of Sunnyday increases.

Thanks to their highly competitive cost, Sunnyday solar panels are suitable for different applications such as industrial rinses, greenhouses, etc... Cost-benefits analysis show that Sunnyday is among the best choices when large surfaces of solar panels are required.

In fact solar installations using Sunnyday have a total cost of 207,00÷258,00 €/m² for washing water (sanitary or industrial, accumulation tanks included) and lower than 103,00 €/m² for swimming pools or hydroponics cultivation.

The evaluation of a solar energy installation efficiency is complex and relies on specific computational software. Janus Energy s.r.l. has developed Tolomeo: a specific application for evaluating the energy output of various types of solar installations using various solar panel models.
